What is GPT-4?

GPT-4 is multimodal

This simply means that you can input both images and text. However, it cannot generate images like Midjourney or DALL-E. It can interpret images and provide explanations, such as analyzing a meme and explaining why it is funny. 

It's important to note that ChatGPT does not yet have this feature, even in the paid version which is GPT-4. It will be available sometime in the future. 

GPT4 has better language understanding and memory

GPT-4 can now process and remember up to 25,000 words of text, which is a significant improvement from previous versions. This means you can give it longer pieces of text to analyze and it can comprehend and remember lengthy conversations or exchanges. 

These advancements are particularly useful for programmers as GPT-4 can generate more complex code and accurately understand context across multiple programming languages.

GPT-4 has enhanced parameters

The efficiency and accuracy of a GPT model depend on its parameters. GPT-4, has over trillions of parameters. This is a major growth compared to GPT-3. 

The new design improves performance, scalability, and efficiency. Research shows that GPT-4 outperforms GPT 3.5, even in human-level exams.

Additional features introduced in GPT-4

There are a few other additional features in GPT-4 that set it apart from GPT-3:

• GPT-4 boasts an expanded capability of tackling complicated problems, including those that require multiple processes.
• Sentiment analysis, text summarization and translation have significantly improved accuracy as compared to GPT-3
• GPT-4 hallucinations have significantly lowered as compared to GPT-3. It is now 40% lower than that of its previous version.  This way it also makes fewer mistakes when generating factual data.
